SOIL HEALTH LAB TECHNICIAN

The Chinook Applied Research Association is now accepting applications for a Soil Health Lab Technician located at Oyen, Alberta.  We need to fill this position as soon as possible – please respond immediately if interested.

DUTIES

  • Assist with the preparation and evaluation of soil and plant samples according to appropriate laboratory standards and protocols

  • Assist with general laboratory procedures and maintenance, including cleanliness of laboratory equipment and tools

  • Assist with organization of materials for training events

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic understanding of soils and agricultural production.

  • Aptitude for performance with great attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instruction

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere

  • Laboratory and microscope experience would be beneficial, but on the job training will be provided
